My name is Jonathan Hollins and for over the past fifteen years now I've been working as a Graphic Designer / Web Designer & Developer. Before I got into any of this, I was actually a Fine Artist, and went to a private art school in New York City called School of Visual Arts. I spent three and half years there before I decided to leave and the reason for that is, is that drawing and painting was no longer a challenge for me. Between 2002 and 2006, I worked at a couple places and while doing so, I was learning on my own teaching myself the "ins" and "outs" of Website Design. This was during the time when websites were not yet mobile friendly as they are today. After spending four years teaching myself to become a web designer, I moved back to New York City area, and landed a job as the Head Web Designer for a small company within the fashion industry. Later on at this job, I also became the Graphic Designer for the company. In late 2009, I decided to leave the company to go work for myself. Since then I've worked with and helped out so many different companies within all sorts of industries as a Graphic Designer / Web Designer & Developer.
Based on first hand knowledge and experience as a Web Designer & Developer, that for any type of business no matter what it is, having a website built from scratch and that is hosted on a web hosting server is the best solution. Having a website for your business on what is considered to being a "third-party system", such as WIX, SHOPIFY, SQUARE or any others, the bottom line is that they do NOT work at all for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes. Plus you do not have full control over the website itself; anything from the coding of the website to being able to get into the web hosting server.
Having your website built with WordPress and using the WooCommerce plugin gives you the ideal E-commerce website for your business. This is what I specialize in and have been for a long time now. WordPress is an open source CMS system (Content Management System), to which this allows me full control to hand code using the following program languages; HTML, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and CSS in building from scratch a Custom WordPress Theme and Custom Plugins for your business website. WordPress has its own backend system that allows you to add/update/delete Posts for the blog area and Pages for your website. When using the WooCommerce plugin within the backend system of WordPress, allows you to manage your Products (add/update/delete), Customer Orders and much more.
